The numerical method used herein is based on Patanker & Spalding’s method, which is proposed for calculation of laminar flow in a pipe. A k-\epsilon\ model is adopted for the turbulent open channel flow. Development of laminar boundary layer in an open-channel, which is slower than that in a pipe, is well simulated by the numerical analysis. Effects of some hydraulic conditions on the development of turbulent boundary layer in an open-channel flow are discussed.
